Introduction

After years of smoking cigarettes, I decided it was finally time to kick the habit once and for all. I tried using nicotine patches and chewing gums, but it was obvious that I needed more help than that to finally quit smoking for good. After some research, I found out about hypnosis and quit smoking hypnosis in particular and decided to try it out. The results were more than I had ever hoped for! My personal stop-smoking hypnosis worked so well that I can’t imagine going back to cigarettes ever again! Here’s how my experience with quit smoking hypnosis went down.

Why do smokers want to quit?

I was a heavy smoker, smoking about a pack a day. I knew my health would be impacted by it, but at the time, I just didn’t care enough to do anything about it. But then one day my daughter told me how bad it made her feel when she was around me. That’s when I decided to quit smoking for good because I wanted to set an example for her and show her that quitting is possible. I tried hypnosis first. It helped me stop cravings and keep my mind focused on staying smoke-free. Now, six months later, I’m still smoke-free with no desire to start again!

The Benefits of quitting cigarettes

I was never one of those people who smoked a pack a day, but I did smoke more than five cigarettes a day. When I got pregnant, I wanted to quit smoking cold turkey because that’s what my parents did and they didn’t have any problems with it. But after two days, the cravings were so intense and uncontrollable that I just couldn’t do it anymore. I went to see a hypnotherapist, who gave me an induction before the session and taught me how to use self-hypnosis on myself at home. The next week, she gave me an induction again during our session and we repeated some of the steps we had taken in the previous sessions.

Understanding What Triggers Your Smoking Habit

I was able to pinpoint what was triggering my smoking habit with the help of a hypnotherapist. For example, every time I would drink coffee, I would also want a cigarette. He helped me associate coffee with something else, like writing in my journal or reading a book. In turn, I stopped wanting cigarettes when I drank coffee and instead replaced it with another one of those activities. With hypnosis, you can change your habits so that they don’t trigger your desire to smoke.

Step One – Preparation (Hypnotherapy)

I was a smoker for over 10 years and had tried everything under the sun to quit. I had tried quitting on my own a few times with no luck, so I decided to look into hypnotherapy. I found a local therapist who specialized in smoking cessation, so I made an appointment. The first thing that he told me was that as long as I felt ready and committed to the process, he would do his best to help me quit smoking cigarettes forever. He taught me how to use self-hypnosis techniques that I could use anytime during the day when I wanted or needed them. It didn’t take too much effort from me since it was something that I already knew how to do from previous research, but now it became part of my daily routine. After we finished our sessions together, the one-on-one work time seemed like it flew by because it was just about doing what felt natural and comfortable for me.

Step Two – Relaxation (Hypnotherapy)

I always knew I wanted to stop smoking, but I couldn’t seem to kick the habit. That was until I came across hypnotherapy with a ‘Stop Smoking’ program that helped me quit cigarettes for good. The ‘Stop Smoking’ program combined with hypnotherapy made it possible for me to break my addiction by using visualization and self-hypnosis techniques to replace my bad habits with new positive behaviors. I still remember feeling so relaxed after the sessions, like all of my stresses had been released from my body. I would just feel so refreshed and calm and without even realizing it my desire for cigarettes had disappeared entirely!

Step Three – Reprogramming (Hypnotherapy)

I am so proud of myself. I had never been able to quit before and thought it was impossible. But after hypnotherapy, I was able to do it in just one week! Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that can help you with anything from quitting smoking cigarettes to sleeping better. It may sound weird, but hypnotherapy is actually a very effective way to change the way your brain works. The therapist will put you into a trance-like state where they will program positive thoughts into your mind while they speak to you in soothing tones. You’ll go through this process until the negative thoughts are replaced by more positive ones.

Keeping Smokefree After the Therapy

It’s been over 20 years now since my hypnotherapy session. I’m still smokefree and have not had a single craving in all that time. The therapy was a very positive experience, and I would recommend it to anyone who is trying to quit smoking. I knew from the moment I walked into my therapist’s office that he could help me stop smoking. There was just something about him that made me know he was going to be able to help me reach my goal of being nicotine-free once and for all. The session with him went so well, too.
